Mica Moscovite
Mica Muscovite is typically colorless, white, silvery, or light brown. It can also exhibit greenish, reddish, or light pink hues. This hydrated potassium aluminosilicate forms tabular crystals with six faces, as well as lamellar sheets, scales, and aggregates. Found in igneous, metamorphic, and schist rocks, muscovite is a phyllosilicate, composed of layers of tetrahedrons linked by weak bonds. It exhibits perfect exfoliation, easily separating into thin, flexible sheets.
